All Saints Day Mass
1st November was All Saints Day. Father Pat celebrated Mass at school
In his homily Father Pat asked the children, ‘what is a Saint?’ The children put up their hands and answered;
-A good person
-Someone who was canonized
-Someone who is there to intercede for us
The children also told Father Pat of known Saints.
Father Pat then talked about how we are all Saints. He told us that if Saint Paul was to write to us at school, he would not start with ‘Dear Friends,’ but may choose to write, ‘Dear the Saints of Westminster Cathedral Primary School,’
This highlighted to us that by serving God and following Jesus’ teaching and aiming to be more like Jesus each and every day, we are Saints—good people trying to grow closer to God.
