Science Day

Friday 13th July the children transformed themselves in to scientists for their science day. Miss Figueiredo organised a day of fair test investigations.

Our pupils were investigating a variety of questions including: How does the amount of salt in water affect the height we can float? How can we keep the dinosaur blood from melting? How does the strength of vinegar affect the height of froth? What material makes the strongest bag?

The day started with an assembly led by Miss Figueriedo and then each class completed two investigations learning about the whole process of an investigation from the question to the prediction to the method, activity, results, conclusion and asking a new question.

I would like to thank Miss Figueiredo for all the inspiration and preparation she has given our budding scientists.
