Exploring our wonderful world of imagination. Thank you so much for the effort that was put into our Roald Dahl Day on Tuesday, the children all looked amazing. I was surrounded by characters from so many of my most favourite books read as a child and now as an adult. Throughout the day the children completed quizzes that were provided by staff from Penguin Random House completed other activities like designing their own chocolate bar—just as Roald Dahl did himself as a child. Five golden tickets were also hidden around school which the children had to find. This was a lot of fun. Thank you to the families who bought books at the Scholastic Book Sale. The money is being counted and I will let you know next week how much was raised. We receive a percentage of this in free books which we will put towards new dictionaries across the school.

Yesterday all the children came to our school dressed as a Roald Dahl character. In some classes they were doing a quiz and something else. Children were wearing lots of different clothes. When people were doing the quiz some children got 13 points, I got 10 and some got 16! I liked it when we dressed up.
Yesterday at Roald Dahl day we dressed up as Roald Dahl book characters. In class we had a quiz about Roald Dahl characters and if you won the quiz you would get a sticker book or a book of George’s Marvellous Medicine. It was so fun because we got to find the golden tickets and if we found one we would get a chocolate bar.
