Meet Oliver

Welcome to Oliver-Year 5's rabbit.

Year 5 also have new life in form of a class pet a mini lop rabbit, Oliver. The children have been writing letters of persuasion persuading me to allow them to have a school pet and I know there will be many other opportunities for the children to write about Oliver and his adventures. Each weekend Oliver will be going home with one of the Year 5 pupils where a diary will be written.

Please look at the school gallery for more photographs.

Hi! My name is Oliver and I am a pet rabbit for Year 5. I am twelve weeks old, yet I am still active. Here is my story, so be prepared to meet the fantastic Mr Oliver!

I used to be at a pet shop when one day a kind man picked me up, bought me and took me into his home. My fur is a mixture of brownish-blackish mixed with white. After two days staying in that man’s house, I came to Westminster Cathedral Primary School into Year 5.

My diet consists of oats, vegetables and fruits. I have to be careful, eating too many carrots, as they are high in sugar.

Well here is how I was named. Before I arrived, the children wrote names, put them in a box, shook them and out came Oliver. After a while I have been named Mr Oliver, (I’m still fantastic.) I am looking forward to being cared for by Year 5 and sharing all their learning with them.
