Celebration Assembly 24/4/20: Patience

Patience means to wait calmly without becoming annoyed and to continue to do something despite difficulty.

It is not always easy to show patience, especially when you want something done straight away. When I am at home my patience can sometimes wear a little thin. If I am tiered, I may become impatient, when something isn’t done straight away e.g. my children finishing their dinner, completing their homework or perhaps other grown ups in the house not doing the washing up straightaway!

Talk to your family and friends about times when you should all show some patience. Perhaps make a house hold list of these situations so you can remind one another, if they become inpatient.

People around the world are demonstrating patience, as we all continue to live a very different way of life than we are used to.

Let us continue to strengthen our patience together.
