Monday 11th – Friday 15th November 2019
Dear Parents and Carers,
Next week is ‘Anti-bullying week’. This year’s theme is ‘change starts with us’.
The children will have a whole-school assembly on Tuesday morning, followed by class discussions and PSHE lessons around the topic of bullying.
As a school, our main aims for the week are:
- To understand the term bullying and what it means to be bullied.
- To understand and describe strategies for dealing with conflict.
On Tuesday 12th November we would also like the children to come into school wearing their ‘odd socks’. This is to remind us that we are all unique. Boys can wear odd socks and girls have the option of colourful tights/odd socks. No donation is required.
We will also be holding an ‘anti-bullying’ poster competition. The competition is open to all children across the school. The winner will be included in our new and revised anti-bullying policy. The deadline is Thursday 14th November. Winner will be announced during our celebration assembly on Friday 15th November.
Thank you for your continuous support.
