Book Week

Book Week 4th - 8th March 2019.

We had such an exciting Book Week. Classes visited Waterstones in Piccadilly and were able to explore the book shop and spend their £1 book token. Miss Hallsworth ran drama workshops, staff from Penguin Random House ran quizzes and there was an opportunity for shared reading. The week was launched by a visit from an author, Alan Durant who inspired us all.

"Book Week was amazing. An author came in and showed us his books. Every class had a workshop with him. All classes went to Waterstones. On World Book Day everyone came to school dressed as a book character. The costumes were amazing. In assembly we all walked around the hall class by class showing everyone our costumes. The teachers dressed up, their theme was from the book, "The day the crayons quit" and so dressed up as crayons. During book week some classes had another book to focus on during English. Year 4's book was "Zoo" by Anthony Browne." Year 4 pupil
