As a Chess team we did so well overall. We came FIRST out of all the schools winning a trophy and the title of CSC London Chess Classic 2017.

David Howell, a Chess Grandmaster who is competitng at the London Chess Classic heard we were at the tournament on Wednesday and came in to see our team play. It was lovely seeing his familiar face and to encourage us to do our best.

We should thank Mr E who is clearly teaching and training all the pupils in Key Stage 2 well in the tatics of Chess helping us win this title. This achievement is an achievement for the whole school and across Key Stage 2. The commitment the children have in learning and playing Chess in school has shown in this win!

Well done all!
