Spanish Assembly

Last Thursday we had a wonderful celebration as the children shared their Spanish learning.

Each class showcased their learning taught by Signore Goncales. Years R and 1 showed us how they can count to 10 in Spanish, know the names of parts of our faces and sang a song about numbers. Year 2 taught us the names of fruit and sang a wonderful song about foods we eat. Year 3 told us the Spanish names for parts of our body and sang a great version of cabeza, hombros, rodillas y dedos de los pies. Year 4 talked about the weather and names of animals. They sang a wonderful version of Noah’s Ark sharing the names of animals in Spanish. Year 5 taught us the names of musical instruments and sang Yo soy el hombre de la musica. The assembly was concluded by Year 6 who enthusiastically and confidently sang a song about Fiestas! It really put us in the mood for a Fiesta!
