Year 4 visit to London Eye

Our Class Recount of World Book Day trip to the London Eye

Today at 9.30 am Year 4 excitedly got ready for a trip to London Eye! toilet check, high viz jackets on, checked if everyone was here and we were ready to go. As rush hour had finished the pavements were clear and empty of people of people rushing to work.

After a very long walk we finally arrived at the ticket office. Everybody was excited but also a bit scared too. We had a break next to the fish and chip shop when we spotted Francesca Simon signing books! As it was her birthday the day before we presented her with a card before boarding the London Eye.

During the London Eye experience, we had a chance to be read to by Francesca Simon, the author of Horrid Henry books! This was to celebrate World Book Day. She gave us our own personalised book. It will soon be published in stores so everyone can buy the entertaining book. We also got the chance to do some sightseeing. We saw lots of buildings including: Big Ben, BT Tower, Westminster Abbey and The Shard.

It was a fantastic day! Please check the School Gallery for more photos
