Year 2 Assembly

Wednesday 13th February, Year 2 led our school collective worship.

On Wednesday we had the pleasure of  watching Year 2’s assembly based on Julia Donaldson. The children shared three of their favourite Julia Donaldson stories through drama and song. We are very impressed how all the children learnt their lines and they spoke and sang so confidently it was an absolute pleasure and honour to watch. I was personally impressed by the pupils’ headdresses/ costumes that the children made themselves, a fantastic example of the wider, creative curriculum being used.

Within the assembly the children shared examples of what we gain from attending school—’we learn lots, make friends and learn to be ourselves’. I reflected on this after the assembly and agree with these comments. The assembly ended in prayer when we said thank you for our school, our learning opportunities and our friends.

Year 2 we pray for you and thank you for the wonderful assembly.
